The Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education and Communication (ALEC) develops leaders with multidisciplinary skills to engage in emerging challenges related to food, environmental and social systems through two bachelor's degree programs and two undergraduate certificates.
Majors and Certificates
ALEC offers two bachelor's degrees in agricultural communication and agricultural education. The two certificates offered through the department are the uLEAD Certificate and a Certificate in Environmental Education.
Student Clubs
Learn more about UGA Collegiate FFA and the UGA chapter of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow. Former 4-H'ers can continue their 4-H experience through the Collegiate 4-H Club of UGA.

Study Abroad
ALEC offers two fantastic study abroad opportunities to undergraduates. Travel to learn through our Food Insecurity Service-Learning Project in Scotland during the spring semester or the Agriculture, Community, and Organizational Development program in Morocco during Maymester.
